House of Mercy is licensed by the State of North Carolina as a six-bed Family Care Home providing care to adults living with HIV. Residents are accepted with unconditional love and are cared for 24 hours a day by highly committed caregivers. House of Mercy caregivers are certified CNAs, LPNs, and RNs.

Director of Development & Communications

​

If so, the Director of Development & Communications position at House of Mercy may be a fit for you.


This role provides support for House of Mercy’s mission and community impact priorities by directing and managing development activities to sustain the organization’s operations and provide long-term stability. This position is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications plans and strategies including: online giving, digital communications, key messaging, storytelling, and brand experience. The Director of Development & Communications works closely with the President & CEO and the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising endeavors. The successful candidate will help forge new relationships to build House of Mercy’s visibility, impact, and financial resources. People living with HIV, individuals of color, and others from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in development, with a proven track record of fundraising accomplishments and understanding of fundraising principles is required. CLINICAL POSITIONS

CNA/Med Tech

​

Clinical positions cover three shifts weekdays, two 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift on weekends.

 

We are currently hiring for Part-Time (7 pm - 7 am weekend, 11 pm - 7 am every other Friday) and PRN caregiver positions for our residential facility.

 

If you are a CNA/Med Tech and would like to apply, you may do so if you meet ALL of the following requirements:

 

* Must be a certified CNA in the state of North Carolina and have a current listing with the Health Care Personnel Registry.

 

* Must have prior work experience as a CNA/Med Tech.

 

* Must have successfully completed the NC Medication Aide Exam for Adult Care Homes. (This is mandatory, as the individual will be responsible for distributing medications to our residents in addition to CNA responsibilities.)
